Ajanta Pharma's Q1 PAT Surges 18% to Rs 246 Crore
Ajanta Pharma has reported an 18% year-on-year increase in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the June quarter, reaching Rs 246 crore. Revenues also saw a rise, with sales in domestic and international markets contributing to this growth. The company's shares ended 3.99% up on the BSE.
Ajanta Pharma on Tuesday reported an 18% year-on-year surge in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 246 crore for the June quarter, driven by robust sales in both domestic and international markets.
In comparison, the drug firm had posted a PAT of Rs 208 crore during the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenue from operations climbed to Rs 1,145 crore in the latest quarter, compared with Rs 1,021 crore in the same period last year, as per the company's regulatory filing.
India sales grew 10% year-on-year to Rs 353 crore in Q1, while US sales rose 7% to Rs 228 crore in the current fiscal's first quarter.
Shares of Ajanta Pharma ended the day up 3.99% at Rs 2,524.35 apiece on the BSE.
