Enhanced Rail Travel Options for Nandurbar and Dhule Passengers

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed the Lok Sabha that passengers from Nandurbar and Dhule can change at Jalgaon and Chalisgaon to travel to Pune. This addressed Congress MP Gowaal Kagada Padavi’s concerns about the difficulties students face due to the lack of direct train services from these stations to Pune.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced in the Lok Sabha that passengers from Nandurbar and Dhule aiming to reach Pune can switch trains at Jalgaon and Chalisgaon stations, respectively.

Vaishnaw responded to Congress MP Gowaal Kagada Padavi's query about the travel hardships faced by thousands of students from northern Maharashtra due to the absence of direct train services to Pune.

According to Vaishnaw, Jalgaon is connected to Pune by 10 pairs of trains, and Chalisgaon has five pairs. He highlighted that any new train services would depend on factors such as traffic justification, operational feasibility, and resource availability.
