The honor was bestowed by the People's Education Society, Mumbai, celebrated in a ceremony in Dubai.

Receiving the award, Datar expressed his delight, stating, 'Beyond business, I love participating in social work. Adhering to my parents' teachings, I allocate a significant portion of my income to societal welfare. I have established a community hall in Lad Karanja, and annually support schools, orphanages, and elderly homes. This award, named after Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, is a great honor.'
