Delta Air Lines Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Technology Outage
Delta Air Lines is embroiled in a class action lawsuit alleging the company's refusal to provide refunds and adequate support following a major technology outage. The suit claims Delta neglected customer service obligations and financial reimbursements, enriching itself at the expense of its customers.
Delta Air Lines is confronting a class action lawsuit, accusing the airline of refusing refunds after a widespread technology outage last month.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Atlanta Division, represents affected Delta customers. The plaintiffs claim the airline ignored requests for refunds and failed to provide adequate support such as meal and hotel vouchers during the disruption.
Delta, which canceled thousands of flights due to the outage, did not comment on the lawsuit but cited significant investments in IT infrastructure. The US Department of Transportation is investigating Delta's response to the situation.
