Aditya Birla Group's Hindalco Industries reported a consolidated profit surge of 25.2% at Rs 3,074 crore for the June quarter, attributed to favourable macroeconomic conditions, operational efficiencies, and reduced input costs.

Compared to a profit of Rs 2,454 crore in the previous year, Hindalco's income for Q1 FY25 rose to Rs 57,437 crore. The company's consolidated revenue also saw an 8% increase year-on-year, reaching Rs 57,013 crore.

Driven by lower input costs and higher volumes, Hindalco's EBITDA for the first quarter was Rs 7,992 crore, a 31% increase. Notably, the copper business achieved record-breaking performance with an EBITDA of Rs 805 crore, up 52% year-on-year.
