The Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Minister highlighted that these women, having achieved an annual income of Rs 1 lakh or more through self-help groups, will be honored for pulling their families out of poverty.
In addition to the accolades, PM Modi will also release a Rs 2,500 crore revolving fund targeting about 4.3 lakh self-help groups (SHGs), benefiting nearly 48 lakh members. Further, a bank loan of Rs 5,000 crore will also be issued, set to benefit 2,35,400 SHGs with around 25.8 lakh members.
Chouhan emphasized the nationwide reach of the program, which will be virtually connected to approximately 30,000 district headquarters and Community Level Federations (CLFs) in 34 states and Union territories.
The initiative is aimed at uplifting women economically through structured training programs for SHG families to achieve an annual income of Rs 1,00,000 or more, involving national resource persons, master trainers, and a cadre of 300,000 Community Resource Persons (CRPs).
