New Train Service Connects Prayagraj to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
The North Central Railway has commenced a direct train service from Subedarganj station in Prayagraj to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. This new service, starting daily at 10:35 am, fulfills a long-standing demand of devotees, easing travel for thousands of pilgrims.

The North Central Railway on Thursday inaugurated a direct train service from Subedarganj station in Prayagraj to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu and Kashmir, addressing a long-standing demand from devotees, officials announced.
The Katra Jammu Mail will leave Subedarganj station at 10:35 am daily, arriving at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 9:15 am the next day, according to North Central Railway PRO Amit Malviya. The train will travel through Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Tundla, Aligarh, Chipiyana Buzurg, Delhi, Sabzi Mandi, Narela, Sonipat, Ganaur, Samalkha, Kurukshetra, and Ambala Cantt.
For the return journey, the train will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 3:20 pm daily and reach Subedarganj at 12:35 pm the following day.
Praveen Patel, the MP for Phulpur in Prayagraj, remarked, ''This is a significant day for the people of Prayagraj. Our long-standing demand for a direct train to Mata Vaishno Devi Dham has been fulfilled. Previously, travelers had to go to Delhi first, facing numerous inconveniences.'' He added that this 'gift' from the government would also benefit devotees from surrounding districts.
