Union Minister Calls for Road Expansion at Secunderabad and Charlapalli Railway Terminals

Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy has requested Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to expedite the expansion of roads near Secunderabad railway station and Charlapalli railway terminal. The new Charlapalli terminal is almost complete, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to inaugurate it Soon.

Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy has called on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to initiate steps to expand several roads at the Secunderabad railway station and Charlapalli railway terminal in the region.

In a communication addressed to the chief minister, Reddy highlighted that the construction of a new railway terminal at Charlapalli, which has incurred an expense of approximately Rs 415 crore, is on the verge of completion. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consented to be present at the inauguration ceremony and to dedicate the terminal to the nation.

Reddy also pointed out that the Secunderabad railway station is undergoing renovations worth Rs 715 crore, aimed at transforming it to international airport standards. The minister emphasized that the surrounding roads are congested and require expansion to accommodate the anticipated traffic.

He stressed the urgent need for the state government to undertake this expansion to facilitate better access to the rail infrastructure.
