Eicher Motors' VE Commercial Vehicles Reports 5.7% Sales Increase in September

Eicher Motors Ltd's VE Commercial Vehicles saw a 5.7% year-on-year increase in sales to 7,609 units in September, with 7,322 Eicher and 287 Volvo vehicles. Domestic sales increased by 2%, while exports surged by 90%. VE Commercial Vehicles is a joint venture between Eicher Motors and Volvo Group.

Eicher Motors Ltd on Tuesday announced that its subsidiary, VE Commercial Vehicles, experienced a 5.7 percent year-on-year increase in sales, totaling 7,609 units in September.

The sales break down into 7,322 units of Eicher-branded vehicles and 287 Volvo-branded units, the company noted.

A statement from the company revealed it sold 7,198 vehicles in September 2023. VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd is a collaborative venture between Eicher Motors and the Swedish automotive giant, Volvo Group.

Domestically, sales of Eicher-branded trucks and buses grew by 2 percent, rising to 6,847 units from 6,715 units in the same period last year. The company also marked a significant 90 percent increase in exports, reaching 475 units in the previous month compared to 250 units in September 2023.
