Bangalore has solidified its position as India's top city for job opportunities and salary growth, showing a remarkable 9.3% year-on-year increase, according to a report released Thursday by TeamLease Services.

The report, which analyzed both temporary and permanent hiring markets, finds Bangalore's average monthly salary at Rs 29,500, positioning it as the highest-paying city in India. Following closely are Chennai and Delhi, with robust salary growths of 7.5% and 7.3%, respectively, highlighting the competitive nature of these markets.

On the industry front, the retail sector leads with an 8.4% salary growth, followed by consumer durables and BFSI. In contrast, logistics, FMCG, healthcare, and real estate sectors saw more moderate rises. The report underscores the demand for specialized skills and a shift towards talent equity and long-term retention.
