Two people lost their lives after a speeding ambulance hit them in Latur city, Maharashtra, a police official confirmed on Saturday.
The tragic incident occurred at 7pm on Friday, between Hadolti and Valsangi villages, according to Inspector BD Bhusnure.
Chhaya Manohar Gurme, 55, and her brother-in-law, Baburao Gumre, 70, were fatally struck by the ambulance, which was traveling from Hadolti to Shirur Tajband. Chhaya Gurme died immediately at the scene, while Baburao succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a hospital. Authorities have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.
