World Bank President Ajay Banga is set to visit Uttar Pradesh this Friday, as announced by state officials. The visit underscores growing international interest in the state's development under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership. His agenda includes discussions on Uttar Pradesh's progress towards achieving a USD 1 trillion economy.
Banga's itinerary in Lucknow features multiple high-level engagements, including a roundtable at Hotel Taj. He will be joined by stakeholders and Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. Later, a dinner meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is planned, highlighting the collaborative efforts to bolster the state's economic ambitions.
The World Bank president will also focus on Uttar Pradesh's nutrition initiatives. He will review operations at the Take-Home Ration plant in Chinhat Block and tour a beekeeping center in Barabanki, engaging with women's self-help groups. Banga will conclude his visit with a closing program before returning to Delhi.
