Maharashtra Industrial Township Powers New Wave of Investments
Maharashtra Industrial Township has allocated over 60 acres in Aurangabad's AURIC to six companies, marking a significant Rs 1,261.2 crore investment. The smart city initiative, focused on auto components, steam boilers, and solar cells, promises 3,288 jobs, enhancing its industrial landscape.
Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) is driving significant economic growth by allocating over 60 acres of prime industrial land to six different companies at the Bidkin node of the Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC). An official announcement confirmed this development on Tuesday.
The Aurangabad Industrial City represents India's first greenfield industrial smart city, encompassing a vast 10,000-acre area in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. MITL, a Special Purpose Vehicle established to manage the Shendra and Bidkin nodes of AURIC, is overseeing these allocations.
The new investments, led by Junna Solar Systems Limited, which plans a Rs 400 crore commitment, will bolster the area's economy. The venture is expected to create 3,288 jobs across auto components, steam boilers, and solar cell manufacturing sectors.
