Milma's Bold Steps to Boost Kerala's Milk Production

The Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, popularly known by its brand Milma, is set to unveil a range of initiatives aimed at boosting milk production in the state. A key focus will be to empower milk societies and enhance the market competitiveness of its products.
During the federation's 52nd Annual General Body Meeting on Tuesday, it was resolved to extend the existing subsidies and welfare schemes for dairy farmers. The commitment to delivering high-quality milk and dairy products to consumers also remains a priority.
Chaired by K S Mani, the AGM approved a revenue budget of Rs 597.97 crore and a capital budget of Rs 67.33 crores for the upcoming year. Despite a 35% decline in cattle population, the federation recorded a 13.91% rise in milk procurement from April to August 2025.
