Luxury Bus Tragedy: Dozens Injured in Overturned Sleeper

In a tragic accident on Thursday, a luxury sleeper bus traveling from Jaipur to Madhubani overturned after crashing into a road divider, leaving 26 passengers injured, six of them critically. The mishap took place around 6 a.m. as the bus attempted to overtake a truck at high speed, police reported.

As screams echoed from inside the bus, local residents sprang into action, breaking windows to extricate passengers trapped within the overturned vehicle. Emergency personnel soon arrived, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals with the help of community members.

Among those suffering serious injuries were Vijay Mishra from Darbhanga and the family of Vijay Mahto from Madhubani, who were taken to the Padrauna Medical College. Local officials, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Akanksha Mishra, managed to clear the highway using a crane after a three-hour closure.
