The airline involved, Mombasa Air Safari, confirmed that the plane was carrying 10 passengers, including eight Hungarians and two Germans. The captain was a Kenyan national. In a statement, the airline expressed their sorrow, stating, 'Sadly, there are no survivors.'

The Civil Aviation Authority reported that the accident occurred in Kwale, near the Indian Ocean coast, around 0830 local time (0530 GMT). A regional police commander confirmed via public broadcaster Kenya Broadcasting Corporation that all the passengers were tourists exploring the region.

Citizen TV station reported that the remains of those on board were burned beyond recognition. According to the aviation authority, the flight was en route from Diani, a coastal area, to Kichwa Tembo in Kenya's renowned Maasai Mara national reserve. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing as the travel community mourns this devastating loss.
