Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off 40 electric buses on Tuesday, accusing the previous AAP government of failing to adequately tackle pollution in the national capital.
During the inauguration of the revamped DTC bus terminal at Azadpur, Gupta emphasized the visible transformation under her administration, asserting that the public's trust has fueled the city's development. She boasted that her government has added 1,400 electric buses in eight months, compared to the earlier administration's 2,000 buses over 11 years.
Gupta criticized the past government for not executing the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' plantation campaign, while highlighting current plans to rebuild the Delhi Transport Corporation into a robust, efficient entity with modern amenities. The Transport Minister, Pankaj Kumar Singh, added the new Azadpur Terminal integrates state-of-the-art facilities, boosting the city's public transport infrastructure.
