A tragic accident unfolded on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway as a private sleeper bus collided with an unidentified vehicle, leading to the deaths of two passengers and injuries to 12 others. The bus, traveling from Delhi to Indore, was carrying 42 passengers when the accident transpired early Friday morning, officials reported.

Kaithun Circle Inspector Sandeep Sharma indicated that the bus, allegedly traveling at high speed, crashed into the unknown vehicle, which remains untraceable for now. The driver and the cleaner of the bus, both residents of Kota, were killed on the scene, while the injured are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Meanwhile, postmortem examinations of the deceased were conducted, and their bodies have been handed over to their respective families.
