Philadelphia Airport Bomb Threat Grounds Flights
Flights at Philadelphia International Airport were halted following a bomb threat, as per the FAA. Other U.S. airports have experienced similar threats recently, including those at Reagan Washington National Airport and LaGuardia International Airport. Authorities have found no hazardous findings in previous cases.
Flights to Philadelphia International Airport were abruptly grounded on Friday following a bomb threat, announced by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. The advisory lacked additional information regarding the threat, and the airport did not immediately comment on the situation.
This month has seen a spate of bomb threats actioned at other major U.S. airports. Earlier, operations at Reagan Washington National Airport were momentarily halted due to a bomb threat concerning a United Airlines plane. The FBI responded and later announced that the threat posed no real danger.
Similarly, a Delta flight scheduled to depart from LaGuardia International Airport was evacuated on the same day following a bomb threat. Despite these disturbances, no hazardous materials have been discovered in any of the incidents.
