Kumaraswamy's Commitment to Revive Bhadravathi Steel Plant

Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday revisited the Sir M Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant in Bhadravathi to discuss strategies for its revival. This visit marked his second since assuming the role of steel minister.
Kumaraswamy, who initially toured the plant on June 30, 2024, conducted another inspection alongside senior Ministry of Steel officials and technical experts. The minister also met with the management board to review ongoing projects and assess the plant's current status.
Stressing the plant's historical importance, established before Independence by Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and Sir M Visvesvaraya, Kumaraswamy affirmed the government's dedication, as guided by PM Narendra Modi, to rejuvenating the steel sector and achieving self-sufficiency in steel production.
