The state government's nodal agency, StartupTN, has announced the launch of TANSEED 8.0, the eighth edition of the Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Fund. This initiative invites applications from startups seeking financial support through an equity-linked grant scheme.

The application window is open from December 6 to December 20. Under this scheme, the government offers grants of up to Rs 15 lakh for green tech, rural impact, and women-led startups. Startups in other sectors can secure up to Rs 10 lakh.

TANSEED aims to address early-stage funding gaps faced by startups. Since 2021, the fund has supported 169 startups. Beneficiaries will also receive a one-year accelerator program, including mentorship, networking, and participation in startup delegations. Eligible entities must register in Tamil Nadu and with StartupTN and be recognized by DPIIT.
