Special Railway Services to Clear IndiGo Chaos: Relief for Stranded Passengers

In response to widespread IndiGo flight cancellations, South Western Railway has arranged special trains in collaboration with other railways. These trains, operating between December 6 and 10, aim to help stranded passengers reach their destinations by covering high-demand routes like Bengaluru–Chennai and Yesvantpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin.

In a bid to assist passengers left stranded due to large-scale IndiGo flight cancellations, the South Western Railway announced an array of special train services. Coordinating with Central, South Eastern, and Southern Railways, this initiative is set to clear the backlog and ease passenger movement across critical routes.

The newly announced rail services will be operational from December 6 to December 10 along various high-demand routes including Bengaluru–Chennai, Bengaluru–Pune, and Yesvantpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin, as confirmed by official sources. The aim is to facilitate smooth travel for passengers affected by airline disruptions.

With at least five days of significant flight disruptions, Railways advises passengers to stay informed about updates and to reach stations ahead of time. The adjusted schedules promise a lifeline to those impacted by the flight cancellations, ensuring their connectivity and assisting in the recovery of misplaced baggage.
