Senior CPI(M) leader E. P. Jayarajan expressed dissatisfaction with IndiGo Airlines, citing long-standing concerns about the carrier's direction amidst ongoing flight disruptions. His remarks come after a previous incident involving a ban prompted by an altercation with Congress supporters during a 2022 flight.
Jayarajan highlighted perceived collusion between Congress leaders and the airline in enforcing the ban. Despite personal commitments like attending the funeral of CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, he has been compelled to use IndiGo due to limited options.
Criticizing the BJP-led central government for its inaction on aviation issues, Jayarajan accused IndiGo of exploiting passengers by overpricing tickets during peak seasons, urging the government to take corrective action against such practices.
