In a significant move aimed at transforming Bihar into a developed state by the end of the decade, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government has rolled out the 'Saat Nishchay-3' program. The plan, approved during Tuesday's cabinet meeting, focuses on doubling employment, enhancing education quality, and modernizing healthcare.
Key initiatives include creating one crore youth job opportunities, developing education centers of excellence, and upgrading healthcare facilities. The CM also highlighted plans to elevate Bihar as a tech hub and encourage private investments totaling Rs 50 lakh crore over the next five years.
Efforts to boost agriculture through a new roadmap and infrastructure development are also underway, promising enhanced living standards through sensitive governance and modern technology. Additionally, urban planning will be prioritized to secure affordable housing.
