Kalpataru Projects International announced on Friday the sale of its full equity stake in Vindhyachal Expressway to Actis for Rs 775 crore, marking a significant strategic divestment to optimize their portfolio.
The sale involved Vindhyachal Expressway Private Ltd (VEPL), a special purpose vehicle formed to execute a major road project, linking Rewa and Hanumana over National Highway-7 under a DBFOT toll agreement.
KPIL's Managing Director and CEO, Manish Mohnot, emphasized that this divestment aligns with the company's ongoing strategy to streamline assets and focus on core business operations within the EPC sector for accelerated growth.
