In a tragic incident, four members of a family lost their lives after their car collided with an unknown vehicle on the Gola-Lakhimpur National Highway on Thursday. The police reported that the accident happened near Jalalpur village under the Gola Kotwali area.

The deceased have been identified as Sunil Singh, aged 28, his wife Sudha Singh, aged 26, and his brother-in-law, Santosh Singh, aged 25, who passed away at the scene. Another brother-in-law, Mukesh Singh, aged 26, succumbed to injuries during treatment, according to officials.

The family's journey from Delhi to their hometown for a 'Tilak' ceremony turned tragic, with dense fog on the highway posing as a significant factor in the accident. Kheri District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal has extended condolences and instructed officials to provide necessary aid to the injured.
