Odisha's Leap into Industrial Growth and Digital Resilience

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has spearheaded a significant push towards industrial diversification by laying foundation stones for a Rs 100-crore textile park and a Rs 187-crore disaster recovery and data centre in Keonjhar. This move is part of the state's commitment to transforming the mineral-rich district into a vibrant industrial hub.
Speaking at the ceremony, Majhi elaborated on plans to make Keonjhar a center for industrial growth. Hindalco will establish a garment manufacturing unit, producing 24 lakh garments yearly for global brands, marking a step towards boosting Odisha's value-added industries beyond traditional sectors.
The disaster recovery and data centre also aim to augment the state's digital infrastructure, ensuring data safety and service continuity. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of this project, especially in safeguarding against disruptions from natural or cyber threats, thereby underlining Odisha's strategic focus on future-ready infrastructures.
