Dassault Aviation unveiled the Falcon 10X, a new long-range business jet designed to rival luxury jets from Bombardier and Gulfstream. The $80-million aircraft, featuring the largest cabin in the market, aims to connect major cities worldwide, targeting ultra-wealthy individuals, corporations, and heads of state.
In a bid to challenge North American competitors in the luxury aircraft market, Dassault Aviation introduced its Falcon 10X jet, showcasing the French company's latest feat in long-range jet design. Unveiled at a ceremony in Merignac, the $80-million jet boasts the most spacious cabin among its peers.
Dassault CEO Eric Trappier highlighted the aircraft's ability to span transcontinental distances with unparalleled comfort and safety, primarily targeting corporations, ultra-affluent individuals, and state leaders. While the initial flight is anticipated soon, the Falcon 10X is projected to enter service towards the end of the decade.
This new model is set against Bombardier's Global 8000 and Gulfstream's G800. Featuring engines by Rolls-Royce and a massive intercontinental range, the Falcon 10X marks Dassault's entry into a competitive market, with industry experts predicting strong demand for business jets in the upcoming years.
