India has emerged as a resilient global power, navigating external shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic, global conflicts, and climate change, according to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The minister stressed the importance of building national capabilities and highlighted India's standing as the world's fifth-largest economy.

During the convocation ceremony at IIM Raipur, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar highlighted the nation's resilience amid global challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing conflicts, and climate change. He emphasized India's emergence as one of the world's top five economies, acknowledging global shocks that tested its resilience.
Jaishankar underscored the need for building robust national capabilities, stressing self-reliance as expressed in the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. He identified the political difficulty in adapting to global structural changes and outlined the evolving role of India's foreign policy in expanding market access, securing resources, and supporting Indian citizens abroad.
The minister commended developments in technology, enterprise, and education for strengthening India's human capital, positioning the nation for future growth. He concluded by addressing the graduating class, emphasizing the opportunities a decade of progress has afforded them as India aims to secure its place as a global leader.
