Sukhdev Singh Appointed Non-Executive Chairman of PTC India
PTC India has appointed Sukhdev Singh as the Non-Executive Chairman. The Board has split the roles of Chairman and Managing Director into two separate positions. Singh, an Independent Director, will hold this position until November 2028. He is a retired IAS officer with an extensive career in Bihar and Jharkhand.

PTC India announced the appointment of Sukhdev Singh as its Non-Executive Chairman on Thursday. This decision marks a structural change within the company, as the board has divided the combined role of Chairman & Managing Director into two separate positions.
The announcement follows a board meeting held on April 16, 2026, where Singh, who has been an Independent Director with PTC India since November 2025, was named to the position. His tenure as Chairman is set to last until November 2028, pending approval from the CMDs of the four promoter companies.
Singh is a 62-year-old retired officer from the 1987 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. Over his nearly 37-year career, he has held various crucial administrative roles across Bihar and Jharkhand, before retiring in 2024.
