In an effort to bolster geriatric care in India, the VridhCare Quality of Life Foundation has launched specialized physiotherapy units in numerous old-age homes by collaborating with major corporations. This initiative addresses the critical shortfall in rehabilitation services for India's expanding elderly population.

According to the India Ageing Report 2025, the elderly, now constituting around 12.6% of the population, is projected to nearly double by 2050. With limited geriatric care infrastructure, many seniors suffer mobility issues. The government's National Programme for Healthcare of the Elderly aligns with these efforts to enhance community-based rehabilitative care.

Support from corporates like Muthoot Finance, Dabur India, and Blue Star underscores the importance of these units. Caregivers are trained to offer physiotherapy, reducing reliance on professionals, while personalized exercise and group therapies aid physical and mental well-being, combating isolation and dependency.
