Bihar govt approves 20 industrial projects worth Rs 350 crore, allots nearly 30 acres

The Bihar government on Saturday approved 20 projects worth around Rs 350 crore and allotted nearly 30 acres for their establishment, officials said.
According to the officials, the meeting of the projects' clearance committee, under the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), which functions under the industries department, cleared projects that are expected to generate employment for around 2,300 people.
The meeting was attended by industries department secretary Kundan Kumar, and other senior officials.
''During the meeting, the committee approved 20 industrial projects and allocated nearly 30 acres for their establishment. The projects are expected to attract investments worth approximately Rs 350 crore, creating employment opportunities for around 2,300 people across the state'', the department said in a statement.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said the state government is committed to inclusive industrial development in Bihar.
''The government is ensuring a conducive investment environment through robust infrastructure, improved connectivity, simplified procedures, and strong policy support to facilitate the swift and effective implementation of projects,'' he said.
The statement said the approved projects span diverse sectors, including food processing, software development, pre-engineered building (PEB) fabrication, furniture manufacturing, PVC and UPVC pipe manufacturing, healthcare and general manufacturing.
''These projects will strengthen the industrial base of the state and expand economic activities at the local level. The units will be established across various industrial areas, including Industrial Area (IA) Kumarbagh, IGC Begusarai, IA Hajipur, IA Patliputra, IA Bariyarpur and IA Sasaram,'' it added.
