Nayab Singh Saini highlighted Haryana's progression towards new developmental feats within rail infrastructure, following a recent nod from the Railway Ministry. This strategic move aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, reinforcing regional connectivity and sustainability.
The ministry has greenlit India's pioneering 10-coach DEMU train, powered by hydrogen, to traverse the Jind-Sonipat line. With technical validation by RDSO and safety testing cleared by CCRS, the train symbolizes a leap in eco-friendly rail technology. Saini expressed gratitude to the central leadership for facilitating this landmark project.
Set to run at speeds up to 75 kmph, the train marks a major technological milestone. Operating on Distributed Power Rolling Stock (DPRS) technology, it ensures efficient power distribution across its coaches, steering away from traditional diesel and electric models in favor of a 1,200 kilowatt hydrogen power output.
