India's finance ministry has introduced a comprehensive online platform aimed at streamlining the process for citizens to track and claim unclaimed financial assets such as bank deposits, insurance claims, shares, and mutual funds. This initiative aligns with India's broader goal of fostering financial inclusion and empowerment by 2047.

The platform, accessible at https://www.unclaimedassetsportal.in, consolidates search facilities for various financial assets, enhancing convenience and transparency for users. The ministry collaborated with the PSB Alliance to develop this unified system, which was launched during a public sector banks review meeting.

The Department of Financial Services Secretary, M Nagaraju, emphasized the portal's role in centralizing access to diverse financial information, underscoring efforts to reconnect individuals with their rightful assets. This initiative is part of the 'Your Money, Your Right' campaign, aiming to increase public awareness and facilitate the restitution of unclaimed assets.

The Common Landing Portal marks a significant advancement towards a more accessible and citizen-friendly financial system, reinforcing trust and inclusion across the financial landscape.
