Patanjali Foods Limited announced on Saturday a 46% rise in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 523.97 crore in the last quarter. This growth, attributed to increased sales of cooking oils and food items, marks an improvement from the Rs 358.51 crore profit of the previous year.

The company's total income during the January-March period rose to Rs 11,212.17 crore, up from Rs 9,564.47 crore during the same quarter last year, according to the regulatory filing. Over the entire fiscal year, net profit climbed to Rs 1,814.47 crore, with total income hitting Rs 40,347.78 crore.

As one of India's leading edible oil companies, Patanjali Foods operates in the Edible Oils, FMCG, and Wind Power sectors. Its diverse product lineup includes brands like Ruchi Gold and Nutrela. Last fiscal year, the edible oil division made a substantial Rs 29,133 crore contribution to the company's operations.

Sanjeev Asthana, CEO of Patanjali Foods, noted that domestic demand remained strong, bolstered by GST normalization. Both rural and urban consumption saw growth, driven by recent tax benefits and improved distribution channels. The company's active strategies were reflected in its robust Q4 results.
