U.S. Approves $1.57 Billion Military Sales to New Zealand
The U.S. State Department has given the green light for two significant foreign military sales to New Zealand, totaling $1.57 billion. These include five Lockheed Martin MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopters and 20 MK 54 MOD 0 Lightweight Torpedoes. Lockheed Martin is the main contractor for the helicopters.
The U.S. State Department announced on Friday the approval of two potential foreign military sales to New Zealand, amounting to a total of $1.57 billion.
The deals comprise five Lockheed Martin MH-60R Multi-Mission Helicopters and accompanying equipment valued at $1.5 billion, alongside 20 MK 54 MOD 0 Lightweight Torpedoes priced at $69 million, as stated by the department.
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has been named the leading contractor for the helicopter package.
