In a bold move to combat pediatric brain cancers, Shilpa Biocare Pvt Ltd has cemented a strategic equity partnership with Gate2Brain, S.L., a biotechnology expert in CNS therapeutics. This collaboration places Shilpa as a pivotal shareholder and partner in manufacturing, chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC), as well as regulatory processes for Gate2Brain's ambitious G2B-002 program.
G2B-002 aims to revolutionize treatment for deadly pediatric brain conditions like DIPG and pGBM, both acknowledged by the US FDA and EMA as Orphan Drug Designation cancers. Utilizing Gate2Brain's innovative MiniAp4 peptide shuttle, the program promises remarkable drug transport capabilities, potentially increasing brain delivery by up to 100 times, and human trials are anticipated by the financial year 2028.
Enthusiastically backing this initiative, Shilpa’s Managing Director, Vishnukant Bhutada, noted the uniqueness of Gate2Brain's technology, predicting significant long-term value creation.
