Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing is set to attend the Global Convergence for Growth video conference. The event, organized by France, is scheduled for Thursday, according to a statement from a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson.
French President Emmanuel Macron will lead the summit, bringing together the leaders of the Group of Seven nations and China to discuss the pressing issue of global economic imbalance.
The meeting aims to foster international cooperation and develop strategies to address the current challenges in the global economy, the Elysee confirmed on Wednesday.
