GHIAL's Rs 49.14 Crore Dividend and New Cargo Terminal Transform Hyderabad Airport
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) remitted an interim dividend of Rs 12.28 crore to the Telangana government, marking a total payout of over Rs 49.14 crore for FY 2025-26. The airport also unveiled Cargo Terminal 2 to boost cargo handling capacity, highlighting Hyderabad's significance as a logistics hub.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) announced on Thursday the remittance of an interim dividend worth approximately Rs 12.28 crore to the Government of Telangana. This payout is part of a total dividend distribution exceeding Rs 49.14 crore for the financial year 2025-26, according to a statement from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) officials.
The company's press release emphasized GHIAL's firm commitment to delivering consistent value to its stakeholders. The recent dividend follows a previous payout of Rs 36.85 crore in February 2026. Since its inception, GHIAL has paid a total of Rs 149.87 crore in dividends to the Telangana government, reflecting the airport's substantial financial returns.
In addition to financial contributions, GHIAL has made significant advancements in infrastructure, with the commissioning of Cargo Terminal 2 at Hyderabad International Airport. This new facility, spanning 16,864 square meters, aims to meet the growing demand for both domestic and international cargo. It launches with an initial capacity to handle 50,000 metric tonnes annually, with plans to double to 100,000 metric tonnes. CEO Kadhir Kadhiravan described it as a pivotal moment for GHIAL, enhancing Hyderabad's position as a major air cargo gateway in Asia, capable of managing critical shipments with efficiency and reliability.
