Rajya Sabha member T Subbarami Reddy Saturday felicitated Larsen & Toubro Group Chairman AM Naik for his role in nation building. Naik has received the country's second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in March this year.

"Naik has contributed immensely for building the national economy through his long standing career at L&T. The people of India do feel proud of L&T because the company is in construction, infrastructure, defence, nuclear, petroleum and in several other fields," said Reddy, who is also the chairman of Committee on Subordinate Legislation. Everest Industries expects 20 pc growth in FY20

Construction material company Everest Industries Saturday said it is expecting a 20 per cent growth in its business in the current financial year. "We see a good demand coming out of rural areas. Also, demand from real estate in urban centres is picking up. Also, need for pre-fabricated solutions for industry and real estate is picking up fast. We are expecting a good jump in our revenues and profit during the current financial year," Manish Sanghi, MD, Everest Industries said in a statement.

The company is into business of construction and building material and looking at the demand coming from rural areas for roof sheets. "It expects to grow by around 20 per cent in the current financial year," the statement said.
