Cottonseed oil cake futures fall on tepid demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices dipped by Rs 22.5 to Rs 2,872 per quintal in futures trade Friday, tracking a muted trend at physical markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake to be delivered in August contracts went down by Rs 22.5, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 2,872 per quintal with an open interest of 31,950 lots.

The rates for the September delivery contracts, too, were down by Rs 25, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 2,840 per quintal.
