US-based software co Synechron opens second centre in B'luru

Mid-tier infotech company Synechron Wednesday opened a second facility in Bengaluru which can seat 2,000, and announced plans to open another centre in Pune. The financial services sector-focused company, which already employs over 8,000, however, did not specify its hiring plans after creating additional space nor the investment that has gone into the new Bengaluru centre.

Faisal Husain, the India-born co-founder and chief executive of the New York-based USD 500-million company, said India is a "crucial part" of its growth story. "I am sure that through this new facility, we will continue to be on the forefront of accelerating digital and empowering our clients to stay ahead of the digital transformation curve," he said in a statement.

The new facility is its second office in the Bengaluru, and can accommodate 2,000 people, it said. It said this is the company's sixth facility in the country and the seventh one will come up in Pune soon.

The proposed Pune facility is coming up at the World Trade Centre at Kharadi and will seat 170, the statement said. Other locations where it already has a presence are in Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai..
