Ever since its announcement, the Double-track policy has the public and experts either endorsing it or demurring over it.
The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), in view of the recent activities, is holding a national dialogue on education in order to address, among other things, the government's proposed double-track system which is supposed to be in action from September.
The discourse which features on the 15th of August at the Kofi Annan ICT Center aims to promote stakeholder engagement and understanding of the Double Track System policies and to foster policy coherence and sustainability in Ghana's educational sector. It is also seeking to invite relevant recommendations to alleviate potential challenges that may be associated with the implementation of the policies.
Representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, teacher associations, civil society, independent experts, educationists, parents and guardians along with other key stakeholders are expected at the event.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Deputy Minister of Education will also join a three-member panel discussion, moderated by renowned lawyer, Mr. Ace Ankomah at the event.
