International trade expert Rakesh Mohan Joshi took charge as vice-chancellor of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) on Wednesday, marking a significant leadership shift at the commerce ministry's prestigious institution.

Joshi, a former Dean of IIFT and ex-Director at the Indian Institute of Plantation Management, brings a wealth of experience and educational prowess. His academic credentials include training from Harvard Business School, Boston, IIFT, Rajasthan University, and the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.
