The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday announced the centre and city-wise results for the medical entrance exam NEET-UG, now under scrutiny over alleged irregularities.
Initially announced on June 5, the results were republished following a Supreme Court order. The court, dealing with petitions about irregularities like paper leaks, mandated the anonymous publication to investigate if candidates from questionable centers scored disproportionately higher.
Conducted on May 5 at 4,750 centers across 571 cities, including 14 international locations, NEET-UG saw participation from over 24 lakh candidates. The apex court will hear further arguments on July 22 regarding calls for cancellation, retests, and a court-monitored probe.
