Three IAS aspirants tragically perished in a flood at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar. According to Kishore Kushwaha, a fellow civil services aspirant, their deaths could have been avoided had authorities taken his complaints seriously.

On June 26, Kushwaha reported the illegal operation of Rau's IAS Study Circle, which was running from a basement, to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Despite filing the complaint through the central government's official website and sending reminders on July 15 and July 22, no action was taken.

The coaching centre's library flooded on a Saturday evening, leading to the loss of three lives. Kushwaha criticized authorities for their negligence and alleged that coaching operators bribe civic officials to run their operations from unsafe basements, endangering students' lives. He believes the tragedy could have been prevented if his warnings had been heeded.
