Former MP and actress Jaya Prada on Wednesday visited protesting students in Old Rajinder Nagar, assuring them that stringent action will be taken against those accountable for the coaching centre flooding that resulted in three deaths.
However, her attempt to address the students was cut short as they began chanting 'We want justice.'
The tragedy occurred when water from a flooded drain entered the basement library of Rau's IAS Study Circle, leading to the deaths of Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nevin Dalvin. An SUV exacerbated the situation by driving through a flooded street, leading to five arrests, including four co-owners of the building's basement. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.
