Akshaya Patra and Dr Majeed Foundation Launch Rs 25 Lakh Scholarship for Over 130 Students

The Akshaya Patra Foundation, in collaboration with Dr Majeed Foundation, has announced a Rs 25 lakh scholarship programme benefiting over 130 students. The scholarships will support students from government and government-aided schools, covering academic fees for 11th and 12th standards, as well as bachelor’s degrees.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation on Wednesday announced a groundbreaking scholarship programme in partnership with the Dr Majeed Foundation.

This year, they will distribute Rs 25 lakh in scholarships to over 130 students from government and government-aided schools across the country.

The scholarships will cover full academic fees for 75 students in the 11th and 12th standards and 55 students completing their bachelor's degrees. This initiative aims to alleviate financial barriers to higher education, extending Akshaya Patra's mission beyond its renowned mid-day meal scheme.
