The tragic death of 29-year-old Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) student Anurag Jaiswal has sent shockwaves through the community. His body was claimed by his family on Monday and taken to Lucknow for last rites.

Jaiswal had attended a party in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, along with around 100 students on Friday night. The next morning, he was discovered unresponsive in his rented flat in Chembur and was subsequently declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The post mortem was conducted at Rajawadi Hospital, with the report pending. Although friends confirmed he consumed alcohol at the party, they reported no untoward incidents. The police have registered an accidental death report, and further investigations are ongoing.
