Paris 2024 Paralympics Near Sold-Out Status with Over Two Million Tickets Sold
Paris 2024 has sold over two million tickets for the Paralympic Games, with organizers expressing confidence in a sell-out event. Of these, one million tickets were sold in the past month alone. With 500,000 tickets still available, the numbers could approach the London 2012 record of 2.7 million tickets sold.
Paris 2024 organizers have announced that just over two million tickets have been sold for the upcoming Paralympic Games, a milestone achieved hours before the opening ceremony set to take place on Wednesday. They remain optimistic that the event will be completely sold out.
'Over two million tickets have already been sold for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, including one million in just one month,' said Paris 2024 in a statement. Despite 500,000 tickets still available, the games are on track to nearly match the record 2.7 million tickets sold for London 2012.
Past records show 1.82 million tickets sold for Beijing 2008 and 2.1 million for Rio 2016. Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet expressed confidence that sales will continue until the very end of the games, emulating the pattern of persistent excitement seen during the Olympics.
